The utilizing of performed photography sees its two main elements; a photographic record of an event and the event itself amalgamated. Subsequently the resulting performative photograph resists truth through the blurring of fact and fiction. Instead of an objective document, we create a vague and unclear document that must be approached from a subjective perspective. Combining this strategy with the figure of repetition we see a character suspended within space as he translates his unbridled demeanour into absurd actions; actions that result in ambiguous, gravity defying photographs.In 1878 Eadweard Muybridge photographed his mammoth plate panorama of San Francisco. 2008 celebrates the 130th anniversary of Muybridge's panorama and date that I re-photographed the panorama on the original site, employing the largest Polaroid camera in the world; the Polaroid 20x24.1tomleonardpope@yahoo.co.uk1http://www.tompope.co.uk1079444823101poptom2.jpg50015001
