This selection of images forms part of the ongoing series 'This Semblance Of', which looks at women in intimate, vanity spaces, such as bathrooms, dressing rooms and bedrooms. The images were constructed through collaboration with each model. Props relating to each girl directly and indirectly (romance novels, cake, piles of clothes, teacups) were chosen, locations were found and a fantasy world was created. All the women are grown-up but still finding their feet. The photographs look at this transition, playing with what's real and what's fiction...
