In April 1999 my Dad, Malcolm, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. At the time Doctors gave him 2 months to live, this year marked twelve years since that prognosis. This body of work aims to show his strengths, his courage, his ups and his downs. It is an insight into his day to day life living with a terminal illness. I wanted to capture his frustration as his speech and walking abilities decline, his relationships with those he depends on my Mum as his primary carer and my elderly Grandparents who dedicate their time to looking after him, his great sense of humour but also his quieter moments, and the use of old photographs to help tell his story.
