64 Days of Sky64 Days of Sky explores the concepts of beauty and the sublime and challenges their traditional modes of representation. Through a unique observational study of colour, texture and form, this project investigates how these properties appeal directly to the emotions of the viewer and invites them to step into the image and witness the natural spectacle of a progressive sky first hand. Through understanding the subject's historical context, by means of drawing together influences from 18th century landscape painting and traditional pictorial structures, and combing this with a knowledge of contemporary approaches to the subject, these images cause us to question our individual ideas of beauty and invoke a strong emotional response within the viewer.
