Photography appears to be both material and spatial. An architecture of air. Four photographs are titled Paper Mirror: reflection on reflection, 120x80cm, C-type prints. The diptych is titled Erased Poem. My research addresses the gap between representational and non-representational theories of photography through the work of Laruelle. I am, perhaps, unwriting paper by pushing the A4 piece of paper to its limits in this first part of my Variations I: Paper (2013) series. The full series includes sculptural objects made of prints of both scanned light-sensitive paper and dosimetry film, not shown here. My work is speculative: can photography ask itself what it is?
