Urban Utopia
'Urban Utopia' looks at London's inner city farms and the social, economic and environmental benefits they offer to local communities. There are eleven farms open to the public in the Capital, each providing an oasis of calm and a chance for escapism from the entropy of everyday life. Many of the farms are charities, and therefore heavily rely on government funding and public donations for their survival. In return, they offer educational programmes and a place for therapy for underprivileged members of society, as well as for people with learning difficulties and mental illness. For many people living in depressed areas of London, this is the closest they might ever get to experiencing the countryside.
