Photographic Monuments
Photographic Monuments is a physical investigation into how we interpret the scale and content of a memory, by the shapes and the perspectives a memory may have. Furthermore the project is seen as a continuation of an earlier installation; Time Fragility (2011), that was an investigation around when a photographic memory is worth preserving, by putting what could have been my whole collection of glass negatives on risk. All the monuments are made of a selection of broken pieces from Time Fragility and thereby from one of my many collections, which I managed to find and recover in these restaged sculptures.
