SipsonSurrounded by Heathrow, the M4 and the M25, the village of Sipson is never silent with the constant rumble of cars and planes. Since 1998, the community has been under threat by the proposed expansion of Heathrow, which if approved, would see the village and its surrounding areas disappear. With the government currently conducting a review into possible solutions to the 'aviation crisis', the village's future remains uncertain. With a decision postponed until after the general election, many long-term residents have chosen to move away, whilst BAA have bought up nearly half the properties in the village. As houses are left neglected and local businesses close, the sense of community and pride that originally brought the residents together seems lost.
