Constructing images through the element of chance and experiment, the work is part of a series which explore the condition of contemporary photography; how we see, what are suitable objects of photographing and what are viable means of image making. The photographs explore the traces and aftermath of the photographer in the studio, revealing the unnoticed and the subtle fabric of the medium. Pushing the parameters between sculpture and still life, the work begins to respond to the material apparatus and underpinnings of the medium itself.
