An Unreachable Place 2014
An Unreachable Place aims to explore the feeling of yearning driven by nostalgic memories of the past. The work aims to create a materialization of this abstract feeling and attempts to evoke a feeling of yearning in others by using nostalgic emblems, photographed and projected, resulting in a spectral image of multiple existence, questioning the reality both memories and future hopes. A realization took place through this project that by returning to a place geographically and physically, it is the past for which we essentially yearn, therefore our yearnings will never be fulfilled and we will always long for an unreachable place.
