Young YearsThe natural landscape has always been around me throughout my life, for this work I wanted to find a way of marrying this with the notion of memory. I focused the images from classical landscapes to looking at the elements within them, specifically trees. Trees are highly symbolic, suggesting life and growth. This coupled with the use of double exposures hints at memories changing and overlapping with time. The use of 120 film was key to keeping with the idea of the past and memory, each image is hand printed and mounted on 18mm Ply wood.
