My interest in man-made changes to landscapes has led to an in depth investigation of the Cornish Clay mines. Until recently this was an area of Cornwall I hadn't explored, but a growing need to understand this industry resulted in a series that mixes topological studies with atmospheric images. The work has led me to investigate many sides of Cornwall, from tourism to environmental impact, yet it has always been the unique atmosphere of the mines that has interested me most visually. I intend to carry this work on throughout the next few years whilst I remain based in Cornwall.
