Every mineral photographed in this series of work is a mineral found in all technology. Although the amounts are minuscule, without them our cameras, our mobile phones and our computers wouldn't work. They are in every motherboard, every bit of plastic, screen and more. When we decide we need an "upgrade" what are the consequences of this on our environment? Our consumerist society encourages this, and we rarely think twice. Sat side by side are two different sides of the same story; the beautiful and natural objects heavily exploited, and the deterioration of the landscape as a result of mining.
