'Stepping Out'
Stepping out is a series of portrait images focusing on women that participate in 'male-dominated' games. Women have an expectation to present themselves, dress and behave a certain way, with the media pushing this perception of women has created a barrier to which women are seen differently if they participate in sport. Men are seen to be the gender that is noticed when it comes to sporting abilities. This series of images has been photographed to demonstrate how women can look different and still hold the attributes of femininity along with being a strong, ambitious athlete.
