CONFLUENCE - A merging of river and ruin.
Taking William Wildes 1849 book 'Beauties of the Boyne and the Blackwater' as a guide, this project surveys the intersection of 'the ruin' and the river Boyne. By probing the themes of time, landscape and memory, the river and its metaphors are explored. The ruins of the riverbank have evolved through cycles of collapse and regeneration while the river itself has flowed for aeons.
