The Practice of Everyday Life
This project is a photographic diary; wherever I go I take my Rolleiflex with me, and anything that interests my eye in the slightest, I capture. Inspired by Michel de Certeau's 'The Practice of Everyday Life', I do not photograph to entertain one theme or idea. I seek to capture the qualms and quirks of life that is accessible to us all, if we look around. Street photography is my escape from my profession as a full time wedding photographer. Slowing down the process by photographing on to transparency and showing the images physically via the 6x6 viewfinder brinds the medium to the pace I personally prefer.
