Lauren Pitson
Kalopsia
Kalopsia, explores the process of interpreting experiences and the manifestation of alienation. The images present a transformation of the body and mind, which have then been communicated physically. The various distortions of the body attempt to trap a raw version of the artist within an abstraction of their physical form. The ongoing body of work concentrates on 'the self' by combining past memories, written journals, dreams and inner thoughts while also exploring the artist's own consciousness and existential thoughts.
