Fluttering Birds Never Settle
'Fluttering birds never settle' is the cumulation of a two-year photographic work on Chinese cultural identity. This series is an important exploration of contemporary Chinese cultural identity in the UK, and in particular how Chinese people try to maintain their culture, whilst living and trying to integrate into another country. The title reflects both the importance of metaphors for Chinese, and the photographer's inner belief that no matter how long one spends away from their homeland, to some extent they will always feel Chinese in their heart.
