Becoming-Animal
Becoming-Animal is the study on the relationship between humans and animals, it is a tool to create a better understanding of what it means to be human. In my photographic work, the key elements are to confuse and create conflict in the viewer, through the use of playful constructed imagery, in combination with documentations of the animal form. The changing of one body into another can be accomplished through the destruction of form, texture and movement of the body. The continuation of form is apparent throughout, creating links between species through manipulation, and restriction of the visible anatomy. Certain forms are interpreted differently by the viewer, creating a visual representation of Metamorphosis.
