noorderlicht
http://www.noorderlicht.com/
A newsletter is offered for those who would like to keep up with this festival on a monthly basis. For those who are only going to visit this site once there is a summary of the main exhibitions, publications and book fair. This site is image rich and presents a wide range of contemporary and modern photography but all images are reproduced small.

Paris Photo
http://www.parisphoto-online.com/indexus.htm
This eccentrically designed site gives a scattering of information about this annual festival in Paris. There is a list of galleries present at the fair, a few of which represent their artists with pictures. The Paris Photo magazine contains some articles and images. This site is available in both French and English.

Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d'Arles
http://www.rip-arles.org/
This large annual festival in the south of France follows a theme that gives an editorial line for the exhibitions and events. The site is a little confusing and seems unnecessarily complicated for the small amount of information that it imparts about where and when the exhibitions and symposia take place. The site is not very image rich but is available in both French and English.

http://www.rhubarb-rhubarb.org/
The purpose of this event is to bring photographers and people in the photography industry together. This amusing site explains who will be looking at portfolios, where photographers can stay, how much it costs etc. as well as presenting some of the work that has been brought to the portfolio sessions. To coincide with the event Birmingham hosts exhibitions, these are also described.
