National Museum of Photography, Film and Technology
http://www.nmsi.ac.uk/nmpft/
Disappointingly lack-lustre site from the National Museum of Photography, Film and Technology, although the information is comprehensive and efficiently delivered. The museum's strength lies in its archive of early photographs, including 6,500 images by W.H.F. Talbot. The 20th century collection includes work by Man Ray, Martin Parr and Richard Billingham. The museum's temporary thematic exhibitions are given a good profile. |

National Photographic Archive, Dublin
http://www.nli.ie/fr_arch.htm
Part of the National Library the Photographic archive contains a number of historical photographic collections. These are represented on the site by a brief introduction and one picture in a few cases expanded to a small online exhibition. This is enough to give a flavour of the holdings of the archive without being extensive. there are also links to other government bodies and publishers as well as practical information about using the archive. |
