Cordelia Donohoe
Out-Takes
Out-Takes is a series of images of internet escorts. The arrangement of the works, the different sizes of shots, the repetitions, the focus on pose, the grammar of their placement in relation to each other make reference to minimalism. The removal of faces comments on shame and asks questions about who is looking and who is seeing. Cordelia Donohoe sees her work as a practice that is continually mutating the connections and tensions between what the subjective and the objective and the construction of gender in photography.
