When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple
Old age is something viewed by most with apprehension, a time when life begins to end. Yet more and more older people are living life actively and fully well into their twilight years and even beyond, making the most of the opportunities afforded by time and money to learn new skills and languages, go on exotic holidays, attend dances and even fall in love again. This work is a glimpse into a world of old age that is far more varied and involved than many anticipate, and one in which the inhabitants are far more contented and relaxed than their younger counterparts.
