Lindsey Macadie
Lindsey Macadie is an artist from Scotland. She explores themes of anonymity, identity and judgement: permeating thoughts, belongings and hidden spaces in an attempt to connect with others. Lindsey uses first person quotes, letterpress, analogue and digital photography. Due to Lindsey’s prior experience in the educational sector, she has a strong interest in society and how we operate within it. There is a performative element to her work: distributing quotes in the public domain with a call for strangers to respond and placing herself or her belongings with that of another. Working with intention helps her to form ideas in a structured was but inviting participation in the form of an anonymous exchange offers an unknown outcome.
