Kaiyi Huang
Sea Horizon
Kaiyi Huang is a fine art photographer specializing in photographic printing and bookbinding. She earned a BA in Fine Art Photography from Camberwell College of Arts and is currently studying at the Royal College of Art. Kaiyi's work primarily focuses on raising awareness about the urgency of rising sea levels caused by global warming. "Sea Horizon" explores rising sea levels through four chapters. Kaiyi uses unique photography to capture the sea horizon above the ground, revealing global changes. The book explores humanity's insignificance and its reflection in the face of disasters from global warming, and incorporates Zen art philosophy (Wabi-sabi) to shift our attitude towards nature. Through visual art and poetry, it highlights the urgency of environmental protection.
