Not There Yet
“Not There Yet” is a body of work with catharsis at the core, expanded through a process of trying to find gratitude through discomfort. Our shadow; and that of our past, sit with us in the darkness. Some life events happen which feel beyond words; ineffable. Feelings of detachment and withdrawal overwhelm. A lone pillar on an uninhabited island in the storm as the waves of the past crash against the headland. Rejuvenation and solace can be found through immersing oneself in the natural environment. Attuning to the natural rhythms and with sustained exposure to the elements, a calmness begins to be instilled. Whilst exploring this series, viewers are encouraged to contemplate and reflect on their own life journeys.
