Tilly Lee
My work in zoo photography is driven by a passion for conservation and education. Zoos, when ethically operated, serve as vital sanctuaries for endangered species and powerful platforms for raising awareness. Through my photography, I strive to highlight the beauty, intelligence, and individuality of animals in human care, while also prompting reflection on the challenges they face in the wild. My images aim to build a connection between captivity and conservation, reminding us that these animals are ambassadors for their wild relatives. By focusing on emotion, environment, and expression, I hope to inspire empathy and a deeper commitment to protecting wildlife and habitats worldwide. My work, in this context, becomes both art and advocacy—a visual voice for the voiceless.
