Dark Sky
As a former military map-reading instructor and mountain leader, I once relied on the night sky as my guide. Over time, I watched it vanish beneath growing light pollution, a loss I didn’t fully grasp until meeting a Dark Sky Officer. I learned that artificial light not only hides stars but disrupts wildlife and us humans. I use long-exposure photography to capture what’s left of the night. Every photo is my way of honouring its beauty while also quietly sounding the alarm about how much light pollution is taking up the Night sky. It’s a reminder to look past the bright lights, to find our way back to the night sky,
