CHAPTERS
My work begins in silence; within the walls of rooms left behind, and the light that still manages to enter. There is something in the room with me, the light. I am not alone. Life is represented by chapters, moving from one to the next, taking with me parts of the previous; evolving to become the person I am today because of yesterday: a different person, affected and changed. The boundaries of my new existence are contained within the walls of my home and the fences of my garden seeing the light and shadows allowing contemplation. I’m mesmerised and transfixed by these sensory details, which enable me to anchor my reality and reflect the silent courage of life transitions.
