The last time I saw you
'The last time I saw you' is a personal project about my brother, who died in 1998 aged 27. Through rephotography, letters, found images and objects, I work with memory, loss, and what remains, focusing on how relationships evolve after death. The work reflects on how absence is carried over time, and how photography can help process things that are hard to say. It’s become a space for my grief, reconnection, observation. I’m using old photos and everyday objects to piece things together and hold on to what’s fading with a renewed understanding of my brother’s letters. I’m also thinking about how to make work that lasts and how memory, care, and simple materials might offer their own kind of sustainability and legacy.
