The Continuum

The Continuum series explores ancestral connection across two hundred generations, interpreting temporality through the belief systems, ceremonial landscapes, ritual monuments, mark-making, and artefacts of Neolithic Ireland. The portal is evoked not only as built form but as metaphor: a liminal threshold connecting life and afterlife, self and ancestry, where the veil grows thin. The images featured here were created using thermal imaging to register unseen energies within the landscape – spectral residues of warmth that echo the transience of being. These are composited with location-based photographs of textured lithic surfaces, resulting in layered works that invite a sensory, elemental encounter with place, where the image becomes both witness and offering.
