Polina Piëch
Painted Winds
Polina Piëch is a multidisciplinary artist based in London working across photography and installation. Piëch’s practice explores notions of movement found in the natural world, focusing on landscapes shaped by the four elemental forces: earth, air, water, and fire. Her dynamic analogue photography evokes texture and embraces the blur, lending a painterly quality to her work. Piëch creates installations incorporating ambient sonic soundscapes and constructions made of raw materials, transforming the space into a poetic, olfactory zone. This sensory environment counters the impulses behind humanity’s ego-driven pursuits, inviting the viewer to pause, reflect and reconnect with a deeper sense of presence and purpose. Through this practice, she contemplates humanity’s relationship with nature, exploring themes of time, memory, and healing.
