Silent Pulse
Silent Pulse explores the complex interplay between fan identity, emotion, and commercialization in contemporary football culture. Through Xinrui Zhou's personal journey, from the "football city" of Dalian in China to the UK, the works reveal that football is not only a spiritual refuge but also a product of globalization and commercialization. Through scarves forming a "wall," fleeting moments captured in images, and symbolic installations of personal objects, the works immerse the audience in a space where emotions intertwine. At the same time, they reflect the layers and echoes of fan identity, revealing the silent yet ever-beating pulse of emotion, constructing a hidden dialogue on identity and cultural belonging.
