Eliza Modzelewska
Lines of Thought
In her digital graphics "Lines of Thought", Eliza touches upon spiritual science and explores how the human brain operates around the lost parts of the memory. Through researching its ability to plasticise, reshape, and renew synapses, she considers this organ to be adaptive to any traumatic experience. Following the words of a writer, Catherine Malabou, Eliza embraces the idea that everyone is responsible for creating their brain and that not everything is as transparent as it seems. By using one of the greatest medical discoveries, a microscope, she tries to raise awareness and trigger a positive action. Through encouraging the spectator to approach 'the electrical galaxy' from different angles and redirecting the eyes, the artist aims to stress the urgency of the radical change of perspective.
