ESC.
ESC. investigates the emotional dimensions of inhabiting virtual spaces where presence is felt, though not physically located. Using Grand Theft Auto V as a virtual site, I navigate its sprawling, cinematic world not as a gamer, but as a wanderer and observer. Through in-game photography capturing sunsets, rain-soaked highways, and foggy mornings, I seek moments that echo memory and belonging. These images are not about action, but stillness; not just escape from reality, but entry into a parallel emotional landscape. The avatar becomes both an extension and a observer of the self, and the game, a medium for personal reflection. ESC. questions what it means to feel and remember in spaces that do not physically exist yet carry significant psychological meaning.
