Waiting For You
These images are part of a series exploring loneliness as a growing epidemic among young adults in contemporary society. Working through the visual language of fashion and commercial photography, the project uses a cinematic style within familiar everyday environments to create a sense of quiet disconnection. The series reflects on the emotional effects of modern life, changing social relationships shaped by social media, and the increasing experience of isolation among younger generations. Although these spaces are commonly associated with interaction, each subject appears emotionally detached from those around them, highlighting loneliness within populated environments. Through this project, I wanted to show how isolation can exist even in crowded, recognisable places, encouraging reflection on the issue today overall.
