My photographic practice is to explore various subjects within the studio, working with lighting to further delve into the project that I’m building. This project itself is a series of photos that explore the process of magazine making inspired by fashion magazines made around the world. It looks for unique shapes and motion framed by clothing, body, and lighting, while also drawing the eye to the details across an outfit. My goal was to elevate the clothing while also framing the model to capture the deeper beauty of the outfit and the person within it as each person’s outfit and style reflects a person’s internal self and identity, from the things shared to minor details representing smaller details kept quiet.
