Adam Wilde
For this project I wanted to explore the relationship between poetry and photography. I think that photography is seen as a very visual language, yet there is always a photographer expressing a message or meaning within a photograph, just without the words. I wanted to take this idea and look at how an image is received and understood when combined with text and influenced by some of my favourite poetry. This particular shoot is inspired by Sylvia Plath's "Tulips". An excerpt; 'I didn't want any flowers, I only wanted To lie with my hands turned up and be utterly empty. How free it is, you have no idea how free - The peacefulness is so big it dazes you.'
