Exploring Rural Isolation
Exploring Rural Isolation. This body of work is a photographic exploration of some of the hidden pitfalls of living in a rurally isolated community, and is inspired by the No.441 Bus route in Herefordshire which only runs once a week, through some of the most remote parts of the third most rural county in England. As most of the journey is taken on single track lanes, often in a state of great disrepair, it presents quite a challenge for the bus to travel the remote corners of Herefordshire. I seek to represent the remoteness and challenge faced in connecting the isolated communities.
