Freddy Bradshaw
Makers
‘Makers’ is a documentary photography project that was created to record the people that are keeping the hand-built traditions passed down to them alive. Through themes of community, cultural memory, and industry, the photographs set out to explore the impact that mass production has had in erasing our cultural memory, and alienating artisan workers. In addition to portraiture, the images feature details, repetitions, and movements to aid in communicating the enduring battles that these people are fighting to keep their livelihood, and our culture alive.
