In Attempt To Grasp Time
‘In Attempt To Grasp Time’ is a fragmentary collection of time as a twenty-one-year-old with themes of youth culture, chaos, love and relationships, illustrated photographically. Ignited by appreciation of the present as time is constantly fleeting, as much as I would like to dig my heels in and hold onto this period forever, there is hardly freedom to lose myself in that thought. This body of work lives as handprints because shooting analogue allows these moments I capture to exist physically. In conclusion, 'In Attempt to Grasp Time’ makes me think of longing; longing for love, longing for twenty-one to go on forever, and longing for relatability because I see this project as a personal expression of what I desire.
