Ellie Turnbull
This project explores nostalgia, specifically childhood nostalgia, with the use of my own archives. Focusing on the feelings of nostalgia, showing the visual exploration of memories, emotions and the atmosphere associated with my childhood, creating dens and the playfulness of being a child. This project is not a literal documentation and more of a recreation of the feelings of childhood, making connections to imagination, wonder and innocence that surround childhood. I have used objects associated with my childhood, including activities that most people would have done when they were children. The bittersweet sense of the passing of time creates a collaboration between past and present through a range of archive images.
