In Blue, The Structure Begins to Break
This body of work explores the fragmentation of memory, identity and physical presence. Close-cropped bodily forms, obscured details and deep blue tonalities transform the photographic image into something unstable, suspended between intimacy, disappearance and surveillance. The cyanotype process introduces physical imperfections and distortions that resist the clarity that is traditionally associated with photography, allowing the body to become partial, fragmented and difficult to fully locate. Drawing on ideas of memory, observation and recovery, the work treats image as an artefact of presence rather than a document of fact. By using abstraction and material processes, this series invites viewers to navigate uncertainty, vulnerability and the limits of photographic recognition
