Curvature
Curvature is a photographic project rooted in my own experience of living with scoliosis. The work explores the relationship between the body and identity, focusing on how spinal curvature shapes both physical form and self-perception. While the wider project includes my own self-portraiture, this selection focuses on photographing others, presenting each subject as individual rather than defined by a condition. In doing so, the work reflects a shared experience while emphasising the importance of support, connection, and understanding. It also explores how being photographed and represented can help build confidence, allowing individuals to feel more comfortable and accepting of their bodies.
