Nuala Kerrigan
The Éire That We Breathe And The Land That We Speak Of
Ireland is a country built on a foundation of tension. The land may be covered in physical and physiological scars, but my project sets out to highlight the often-overlooked mundane beauty of this resilient island. It is in the stories we share and the tales that we tell. This is a country of concentrated culture, artists, authors and creators. The photography is combined with text coming from people who have left lasting impressions on me. Not only influenced by my surroundings but by those who I am surrounded with. We are a nation that thrives from connections and community. It is in the air that we breathe and it is in the land of which we speak so fondly of.
