Lunar-esque Landscapes
With these body landscapes I wanted to create a series of abstract photographs that challenge the viewer to study the image rather than taking a quick glance and draw a quick conclusion. By using the unique curves, body marks, skin tones, and harsh lighting to create strong highlights and shadows I was able to create ‘lunar-esque landscapes’. At a first glance they may look like a scenic landscape, but at a closer examination of the photograph, the details reveal the body’s characteristics.
