Rebecca Sanders
THE PHOTOGRAPHER AND THE CITY
Rebecca's interest in cities is long-standing. She is fascinated by streets and spaces, the people that occupy them and their reasons for doing so. Her curiosity and interest have seen her wandering the streets of those parts of the city which have meaning to her, searching for how these morsels of street life exert their energy on the inhabitants. Inspired by Baudelaire's concept of the flâneur, Rebecca's journeys record chance encounters. Often looking down from the top deck of a bus to the street below, she searches not for grand spectacles but is instead interested in the everyday.
