Bim Hjortronsteen
Bim Hjortrosteen is a twenty-one-year-old photographer from Sweden. She uses the medium of photography to explore relationships between people, places and time. In her latest body of work, Bim has travelled back to her home country. Using the medium of photography to allow meditation on a place where time and memory collide, Bim touches on the concepts of 'Nostalgia', 'Belonging' and 'In-Betweeness'. Re-visiting people and places connected to the past, Bim explores the memory of home and how our relationship to this place changes with time but also how it provokes us to move through time, entering an uncanny place that seems strangely familiar.
