Cesare De Giglio
Port 1: Felixstowe
This work explores the visual relationship between a city and its port. It is an attempt to document how the port is reflected in the city. It is both about the generic nature of large ports and about one specific town - Felixstowe. My interest in starting this project was sparked from two main sentiments: the fascination I experience when in large industrial areas and the role of the city - a city of modern industrial Britain - which divides itself between being a vital cog in the nation's industrial economy and being a holiday area for families as well as a nice and quite place for older people to retire.
