Everyone I know
Everyone I Know is a portrait of myself, as much as it is a portrait of the people I photograph. The purpose of this project is to reconnect with individuals that have been a part of my life but through the passing of time we have drifted apart. The photograph is not the sole objective, it is a catalyst to go out of my way to see someone and spend time to catch up on what is happening in his or her lives. We understand that our priorities are changing, as we all grow older. How much of your self is formed by the experiences you have with others rather than on your own in isolation? How much of your self is made up of the ideas and feelings you have discussed and arrived at through the interaction with your friends and family? These are just a few of the questions I am starting to ask myself by engaging in this project.
